    Tbh, if you shouldn't get bluetooth anything. The bandwidth is too low, the quality of music would suck. Wireless speakers don't use bluetooth.

    Agreed, he really should be getting wifi speakers.

    Well anyway, if he insists on a BT speaker, then how about the Bose Soundlink Mobile speaker?

    I have a set from ipevo that are great for outdoor use. They are the tubular ones.

    CD's have a much better sound than MP3's but we all prefer the convenience of MP3's.

    If the OP just wants some tunes in the house rather than have a Hi-Fi experience then Bluetooth speakers will probably be fine.

    Alternatively they could try something like the Logitech S715i that packs a punch for such a cheap and small machine.
