Buying a TV

My most used 'smart' function is Youtube, using my phone to search/select videos.

I still buy DVDs and don't download software. I just like to own something physical. Just make sure the tv has a few HDMI ports (at least 2). As for brands, I would stick with the common ones like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic and Sharp. I think the Chinese brands are cheap and quality reflects the price. I wouldn't even buy a 3d set since it is so small.

I bought a tv a few weeks ago. Walked in asking for a cheap, standard tv, no 3D, no smart options and walked out 15 mins later with a 46 inch, top of the range smart tv! I must be a salesman's dream.

All the best quality have 3d anyway, there isn't really a choice in the matter if you are going for the top picture quality.
