Digital TV aerial in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, China and Macau broadcast Digital TV on the DTMB Digital TV standard (Digital Terrestrial Multimedia Broadcast).

Most of the UK, Europe, and the rest of Asia-Pacific uses the DVB-T Digital TV Standard (Digital Video Broadcasting — Terrestrial).

The two standards are not compatible with one-another.

However, is a Digital TV aerial designed for use in the UK (i.e. a DVB-T environment) going to work in Hong Kong to receive a DTMB signal?

Is there anything about the two different standards that means one needs a different type of digital aerial?

    Thanks

The same antenna will work. Digital TV can be picked up by same antenna as analogy, so dvb or dmb can be picked up by same antennae..

Main thing to consider while choosing the antennae is the distance from relay stations..

Has anyone tried importing a UK DVB-T television and confirmed that it definitely does not work in HK to receive DTMB?
