    Need some translating please !!!

This might be a stupid question, but here it goes anyway !!!!

On price.com they always give two price lines. One is the dealer product and one is grey import.

    Sony KD-55X9000E
    8.0
    HK$14,510-19,000Dealer Product
    HK$9,080-9,310Grey Import

As there is I big difference, would it be ok do go for the grey import.

    Thanks a mill.

Big difference is warranty. Grey import will usually have short warranty limited just to the shop you bought it from.

Grey market: no warranty or an extremely limited warranty from the shop, not the manufacturer. When I buy grey market goods I treat it as it if had no warranty.

Thanks for that. Is it normal different shops or does one shop sell both ?

One shop can sell both. For example I just bought a google home grey market for $750. The same shop also had the official dealer one for $950. I was holding them both side by side, identical box, except the official one had a dealer sticker on it. The grey one they said only 7 day warranty return back to where I bought from. So I thought fuck it I'll save $200 and chance it.

For most things I that I search on Price.com that I buy, I normally opt for the much cheaper grey import versions, but look around as sometimes a shop will pop up with an official price listing thats just a little more than the grey market price.

For camera lenses, I tend shop for the best official price with the warranty.

The other way to look at it is would you like to pay for extended warranty ala circuit city style?
