So does that mean they are not selling the Unblock boxes anymore in ssp? I was going to buy some and give as presents to people in UK! Rupert Murdoch can kiss my ass.

I wish NOWtv put in as much effort into creating a channel pack that isn't price gauging as they do cracking down on Android TV box sellers. I made the decision to cut my cord when my previous contract expired and they wanted to charge an extra $100 without giving me anything else. Why am I paying this much for censored HBO (and porn)?

Which is why I love my Netflix subscription. Channels that I can watch anytime I want with an easy to use UI, and they only charge US$10 per month.

Just pray that the unblock box you have already doesn't suddenly become a paperweight. June 2014 just before the Brazil world cup was the death of the Maige TV box when customs performed similar raids. Whilst Maige did return for some time after the world cup, it was never the same again and then the operators just gave up one day and it became useless. That was the time I got my first unblock box which has been going strong for 4 years now, but actually even after all this time, Maige was still better.

Yeah remembering Maige - RIP....! So that was 4 years ago which means I've been free from NowTV for almost 6 years! Even if something happens to Ubox there will be something else come up. Less than $700 for a few years use ain't that bad, that's a month on NowTV if you have a few packages.

I don't even like soccer and just pissed off that my illegal TV streaming practices keep getting disrupted by this bloody tournament every 4 years and I'll have to spend some time researching new practices. Just bullshit waste of my time. Actually I lie a little bit, since I'm an Aussie working in an Italian company I am taking a great sense of joy in this years tournament knowing that a bunch of Aussies in flip flops, even if we fail to win a single game as expected, will still do better than my Italian friends who did not even qualify this year. But there is still the "World hide and seek championships" in Italy this summer so my colleagues can enjoy this tournament instead and I hear they are very good at it

    IPTV Boxes - 2018 Reviews

So the other thread is kind of a monster at nearly 1000 posts or pages, thus I wanted to start a new one to talk about what is on the market now, Summer of 2018. What is the top IPTV box you can get in (pre-crackdown) Sham Shui Po or Mongkok? I'm currently using a Unblock Box 3 but understand there is an Unblock Box 4 out now, but was wondering if anything is a bit more advanced or reliable on the market today?

I got my first one about that time too, have got the 3rd gen one now.... it's been really good for Sky Sports and even BBC channels are working fine 90% of the time with no stuttering. If they do go out of service would have had a good 3 years out of them and will move onto the next thing for another 4 years. 700 hkd for 3 years of free channels. It's a bargain. But I guess no point for me to go ssp and buy them as presents now!

Actually the ubox pro is out now, which I guess is the 5. Its smaller than the 4 and has "PRO" printed on the front. Software wise, it runs Android 7 now which is good for those who want to run their own 3rd party apps on the box especially after the HK customs department kills off the UBTV app. My old ubox gen 2 could never run Kodi v17 and I was stuck on 16. I use Kodi for watching all the free Australian TV channels (7,9,10, etc) and the AFL footy games. I use my sisters Telstra ID from Australia combined with a smartDNS to get every Australian footy game live and free in excellent quality on my big screen TV.

I guess at least with ubox, its a generic android box, so you could put netflix etc on it if the various TV services stop working.

Maige (which IMHO was so much more better) was a custom locked UI (don't even know which OS it was running).
