My bad - this release of Kodi does support iOS and tvOS now, but is not coming to the official AppStore anytime soon, only to older jailbroken or side loaded AppleTVs and such.

Well, it's better than nothing, still.
Just in case so you know guys, if you want to self host a server for movies, Jellyfin is a fully free and open source alternative to Kodi. No registration, no license, no tracking. Setup takes a bit more fiddling, specially to get hardware transcoding going, but otherwise works like a beauty. Super happy with its performance.
