My Samsung LCD TV won't turn on. The red standby light just flashes on and off. The TV is nearly 2 years old. Anyone have an idea of what might be wrong?

Yes - still under warranty. Apparently the circuit board needs to be replaced - but currently out of stock. The repair guy from Samsung said it's a common problem in HK, especially when it's humid. Luckily ours is still under guarantee.

Should be free then except for a small fee of $100 or so.
I don't buy this humidity excuse. It was the same reason they gave me without even seeing the TV. My lounge is dehumidified in the summer in any case.
$3k if not under warranty....
