PSB Speakers

I'm new to Hong Kong and want to know where I can purchase PSB speakers. I want to setup a home theater for the children and PSB is the brand I used back in Toronto. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply. I did research before on the PSB website but was wondering any shops in Central or Yau Shing (Mong Kok) that sell PSB? Many thanks.

I found that when looking for specific but hard-to-find products calling the distributor is usually helpful, they can advise you on shops selling them. (see the contact info in Skyhook's post)

yau shing building may sell psb, though canadian speakers such as psb or focal are not as popular as british speakers such as mission, Kef, Tannoys, acoustic research or B & W in hong kong

However, NAD equipment are popular ( same company as psb) here

I suggest you get it directly from the distributor or go to where they suggest to pick it up retail due to warranty issues, there might be other shops that sells these speakers but they are "water goods" (as called here in HK), water goods are the same as their retail counterparts but they are not warrantied in HK, if they break, you will probably have to send it overseas for repairs, some shops that sells water goods offer a IN SHOP warranty but I always found it kinda dodgy, ie; if they close or move, you are s**t out of luck.. This is all fine if you want to buy a phone or gamble that it does not break during the warranty period, but with speakers, eeeeh... you catch my meaning.

To save yourself the head ache, I highly suggest getting them from the recommended distributor list even if you have to pay a little bit extra.

Import them yourself? Try contacting a dealer back in Toronto and getting them to ship?

fcnghkkc, after being given the distributor of PSB speakers contact details, have you bothered to call, or email them, to see which authorised retailers sell their products here in Hong Kong ?

There are a a squillion reputable speaker brands out there, in my opinion Paradigm is one of Canada's better mainstream speaker brands.

In Hong Kong, we are spoilt for choice, there are 100's of brands to choose from. Why not find a better alternative brand, from a distributor that you feel more comfortable dealing with.... I am sure you will find a tonal match, and possibly a better speaker in any number of brands, just spend a few days out in Mongkok auditioning speakers and out at Times Square Causeway Bay, on the upper floors....

You'll figure something out and all within your expected budget.
