Best TV Package for WC, EPL and CL and fastest broadband package

    Hi guys,

Just in the process of moving to a new apartment which currently has Now TV included in the rent, but after reading some threads on here Now TV doesn't have any of the football packages for the next season? The landlady has said she will switch to i-Cable if need be, but I am not exactly sure what to ask for.

So what I am looking for:
    - Channels which show Premier League, Champions League and the World Cup in HD
    - The fastest internet connection they have available (130mb?)

Can someone tell me what package I need to ask for, how much this will cost and where to find the best deal for this? Also what is the minimum term I (or she) will have to sign for?

    Thanks in advance

    Josh

    WC, EPL etc

Now TV lost the rights to the EPL for the next three seasons to i-cable who also have the rights to the WC. You would be best switching if that is your primary rationale.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear. I just need to know which i-cable package/channels to go for that meets all of the requirements above and whether anyone knows how much this will cost?

I called i-cable today and ask for a 'Worldcup package' .

It's HK$ 289/month - have to sign up for 2 years. No thank you. I will go for a Sat. Any hints which one? Language doesn't matter.

Will the WC be broadcast on free to air on Pearl or ATV? I know they had some dispute about this a few months ago. Im not sure the outcome.

They will broadcast the opening match, both semi-finals and final according to this:

Pay about 350 (not too sure) for fixed phone-line, 130mb internet and tv package from i-cable. Found it to be fine, although phone quality has been patchy a few times mid-call, and internet is generally around 70-80mb rather than 130 (although it's still 10x faster than anything I'd get in UK, so I'll live with it). Based in mid-levels if this makes a difference.
