Best Credit Card for Discounts? ?

I see all sorts of retailer promotions which give discounts for holders of certain banks' credit cards if you use them to pay, eg mobile phone providers.

Just about to get my first HK credit card. Does anyone have a view as to which card is the best one to have to take advantage of that sort of thing? ( I'm not interested in collecting points/miles).

HSBC and Hang Seng generally give the best offers
If you eat out a lot then Amex Platinum gives very good offers

All much of a muchness to be honest. Sometimes you get more on one in one month and the next month more on another. This seems to be the BoC month judging by the crap coming through the door with the CC bills, but it could easily be HSBC, Standard Chartered, BEA.

Just so you know, in fortress I talked them into giving me the hang seng offer without a hang seng credit card. So I never take credit card offers seriously from that shop. I've seen a lot of hsbc offers, and also a few bank of china. I'd get hsbc because theyre a trustworthy brand. I.e when oasis airlines went bust they offered refunds to their customers, with no obligation to do so.
