A couple of banks have an ATM card that you can send to your relatives back home, allowing them to use the ATM to withdraw the money. Saves a fair bit and tends to be more secure.
Citibank and HSBC should have a reasonable NRI desk and should be pretty familiar with your situation.
Let me know if you need contact info ...
Both Citibank and HSBC have the NRI division in HK ..
I am banking with HSBC .. Let me know if u need contacts ..
Cheers !!
As #3 and #4 said, the NRI division of these banks will help you to send money through their accounts. I have personal experience with citi bank remittance. They have their branch in HK and all over India. So probably sending through them would be much easier for you. If you need further assistance in this regard you can post your query in the forum.
VERY weird ... both Preeti and Pradeep share the same IP address (in India of all the places) that belongs to a offshoring outfit in Pune.
Looks like a scam and spam schill from the Citibank marketing team in India....
Netfiend: Yeah .. pune has turned into one huge spammy center from what other webmasters tell me. I could name this outfit .. but I'm in a forgiving mood today.
