    Business banking account opening

    hi

    i need a business bank account for my company
    does anyone know how much this costs and which bank is the cheapest?

    any advice appreciated...i dont want to go around every bank to ask and the hot lines are rubbish!!

    Costs nothing. Any bank will open one if you have a BR certificate.

    You can get Business accounts with both HSBC and BoC that have no *monthly charges/minimum amount. *HSBC as the first 7 counter transactions free of charge then you pay. However, with internet banking and cheque/cash deposit machines youvery rarely, if ever, need to use the counters.

    You need to first make a appointment. I did with HSBC then went to the Business Accounts branch in wanchai.

    I walked in to the local BoC branch in Sai Kung town and they started the process to open the account straight away as I had the necessary documents with me. No appointment necessary.
