Withdraw Cash from US Bank of America Account in HK without Debit Card

I have a BOA bank account at a branch in the USA and some money has been sitting on it for years. I can't use the debit card, since I have cancelled it a few years after there were some unauthorized transactions (I have access to it via online banking) and I am not planning on going to the USA anytime soon.

Does anybody know if there is a BOA "counter" here in Hong Kong where I could show up with my passport or my US drivers license and withdraw funds and possibly even close the account?

I believe BOA left HK a few years back. You are better off calling them and have them send you a check at this point.

I used to bank with NCNB in the 90's and tried closing my account here at BOA after they took over NCNB. The BOA staff claimed that they were not under the same management and could not do anything from here. I am not sure if this has changed in the last 10 years but please keep us posted if you have any luck getting it done.

Its Bank Of America by name only, They're not in that tower.

The retail presence left years ago when they bought into China Construction Bank.

Citbank Tower is for Merrill Lynch a subsidiary.
