    Maternity Insurance

I am not covered under my husbands insurance policy and I am looking to get maternity cover . I am with AXA PPP currently and dealing with them has being a hellish nightmare. They are so unprofessional. So I am looking to change. Are there any mothers/fathers here who have had a good experience with an insurance company specially for maternity cover?

We've used PPP for 15+ years and no hassles at all. They pay quickly and with minimal fuss.
I'm curious about the difficulties you've had with them. Would you care to share?

Really? Im surprised at that! I filed a claim 3 months back and its still outstanding. Everytime I call they tell me someone will call back and no one calls back. I was told my claim has been dealt with and cheques are on the way. I was waiting and waiting so I called them back. Next thing - I get a letter ( 3months later) and the receipts I submitted are not readable so please re send them. So after being told the cheques have been despatched, this mail just doesn't make sense.

Hey are you a Brit by any chance?

My wife is a Brit, I'm a Canadian.
We submit things to the UK office and they do direct deposit (we never ask for cheques).

Honestly, in 15 years we have claimed for all kinds of things including 2 pregnancies without any hassle whatsoever.

We have also done pre-approvals from time to time when something big was about to come. In such casese, we didnt have to pay anything and PPP settled with the hospital and doctor directly.

I cant say anything negative about them at all. Whenever we call, we get a native english speaker who listens and understands the issues and just deals with whatever needs to be dealt with.

Cleaning up .. no use soliciting and then leaving important info to PMs. We also don't do "I've left you a PM" type bumps on threads.

We've had a fair few complaints about biased "advice" from IFA types....
