I will be visiting London and New York shortly and was wondering if anyone knew which local credit card had the best exchange rate and fees.

When last I did the comparison between the Citibank/Cathay co-brand and HSBC, Citibank gave marginally better exchange rates, plus they give 3 times as many AsiaMiles as HSBC (1 per $4 on overseas expenditure vs 1/$12 for HSBC).
if you still have time, do check out the DBS AE Black card meant for overseas spending
when i compared the various banks, i knew UOB was giving the best exchange rate. but again my card was issued in Sg so might not apply to HK's UOB.
Citi and StandardChartered were easily 1% off on the rates.
be sure to check what they charge you for overseas spending. Most American credit cards charge a foreign transaction fee of 3%. HSBC here locally charges 1.75% I think. I had to tear my American card apart when I got a statement requesting payment of US$400 in foreign transaction fees soon after I moved here.
Have heard mixed messages about the exchange rates through the DBS Black card. Any further thoughts on what is currently the best credit card for overseas spending?
