Just had a look, looks like they will be rolling them out now. Still waiting for mine.

Not that it matters to me, I still use my credit card whenever possible for points.
How can this be? Is it a Visa Electron card?
What a joke... I've just indeed read on their website the following...
"The following transactions, including but without limitation, are not applicable to the Card: recurring transactions, auto-pay, mail/fax/phone/online order and installment payments."
Unless you go with some convoluted 'linked account' system, it still seems there is still no *true* VISA Debit card option in HK.

HSBC IS WORST... Typical visit goes like this: Wait 30 minutes in line. Apply for ADVANCE service because I am tired of waiting. Get ADVANCE service . Go wait in ADVANCE line 30 minutes. Go to another office for MPF enquiry. Go to another office for insuarnce enquiry. Go to another office for resetting of my PIN on my ATM. Go to another office when I ask a question that is outside of the comprehension of the bank clerk who was helping me. I kid you not, this is a two hour trip that's common practice.
did he get it right? He says not fees for using Citibank ATM cum Debit card when withdrawing money across all terminal in Hong Kong including non-JetCo like HSBC and Hang Seng? Can someone confirm this
I have dealt with Citibank and DBS for personal accounts and always find I get good service for them. However, a start up I'm involved in uses HSBC and I had to visit a HSBC a branch once. Truly awful experience!
Are HSBC really that bad? I have had an awful experience with SCB...lost cards, unable to get a credit card, terrible customer service even for the priority service. I just want somewhere I can easily open an account and get a credit card
