HSBC online express bank transfer - mobile app

Seems they have waived the HKD55 fee on the mobile app.

Seems it's waived for Premier clients. No fee on the website either. Shows "0" for both options.

Oh, this must be quite recent in that case. Last week it was still showing as HKD55 for express transfer online.

Maybe because Transferwise is now offering HKD transfers making everything cheaper.

The new fee went into effect on 1 May - some websites have reported it, but otherwise it has been kept low-key.

I suspect this may be to get market share ahead of the introduction of HKMA Faster Payment later this year which will allow for instant transfer.

Yes, just realised that today when I transferred the money to my helper today.

I presume this HKD15 fee only applies to non HSBC accounts.
