Remitting out RMB to Hong Kong in Shenzhen.

    Hi all,

I sold an apartment in Tianjin and subsequently got my supporting documents / tax payment proof all done in Tianjin. I had since gone back to Hong Kong and was just notified that the balance of payment for the apt has gone from escrow into my mainland BOC account.

I was hoping to go to Shenzhen BOC to try and get it all transferred to Hong Kong. My concern is whether the fact that the supporting documents for the source of funds are all validated in Tianjin, would that be an issue if trying to transfer from Shenzhen?

It's obviously much more convenient for me to just get the transfer done in Shenzhen as opposed to going back to Tianjin, but I was wondering if that was even feasible. Anyone have any experience with this?

Shouldn't be a problem, but it might be entirely possible that the bank will make you travel to Tianjin in light of current restrictions on exchanging USD. Did you get the remittance permit from the Tianjin tax department? Just proof of taxes paid won't be enough, there is a document with a QR code the bank has to scan. (At least in Shenzhen)
