I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my medical insurance also covered life up to USD 10K in the event of death -- Who would have thought???
Some very random regulatory thing according to our local agent. We get $10-20K HKD in death. Enough for funeral expenses (if that's your thing..).

I was just afraid of the unexpected happening - there is always possibility of dying, even the moment you step out of your house. For online, I'm looking for a simpler and more convenient way to buy. No need to go through insurance agents as I'm afraid they will be pushing me so hard for getting the policy sold...

then instead of spending the 2 months to speak to a properly trained insurance specialist (granted, not all, but at least pick a decent one), you decide to plunk them all into a quick three click solution offered by maybe a decent provider but without understanding the fine prints and clauses ?

not sure what is the logical sequencing of decision making here...
Yes, somehow it's true that the probability of happening is very low. But there is also the chance of happening, and when something happens to me, I wouldn't want my family, parents or child left with no money to sustain their lifestyle.Of course, I would study all the terms and clauses before getting an insurance (either online or offline). Just looking for a simpler and convenient way of getting an insurance policy.

I have a feeling you'll find one this week. Do come back and tell us which one it is.

(Hope you understand the futility of your posts - 3 weeks later, you're still looking for an "easier" way out of what will be the most important situation your family will face ... EVER)
