Not a tax loan, but a Citi Sales rep called me about their Credit Card Flexi-Installment plan where I get 12 months to pay off this months CC bill. I happened to have bought an annuity for the tax savings too this month. The interest charge is 0.18% a month plus a minimal $100 HKD initial fee. They said they would give me $850 in Wellcome coupons later, so after accounting for that it seems like just a hair over 1% APR. I'll just take the cash at put it back into Citi Time Deposits for almost 2%...
Any advantage of buying an annuity instead of depositng to TVC?
Not really, I know I will get my money back eventually (not accounting for inflation). I was just uncertain on equities, so didn't want to pick any MPF funds...
