    Standard Chartered time deposit info

    https://www.sc.com/hk/promotions/mar...e-fee-and-rate

3.28% on HKD time deposit is better than anything I've seen, but it isn't clear from the link what the minimum deposit is.

    Sorry for my short reply.

Firstly thanks for finding the deal, it is good that people are looking out for better value offers in HK (which is very hard to find). I think the headline of this deal sounds attractive, but in reality the value doesn't seem to be that good. It seems you only that that really high rate of interest for one month (happy to be told otherwise though).

I think the average rate is only around 2% for the 5 months. Also hidden in the terms I think they mentioned it is also not guaranteed

What is the minimum for this account? I could not find it - did see some random fine print for 1M HKD.

If you have that, DBS will provide the best short term benefit with cash bonuses and FD interest rates combined.

Can you provide more details on the DBS offer?

Edit is it this one? https://www.dbs.com.hk/personal/prom...OnlineTD-promo

@pin - start here for the cash rewards and then factor in the FD rates. At the end of it all, you end up with a fair bit more cash on hand than just a ordinary FD promotional rate.
