HSBC offers similar rates (2% for 1 year) you will still lose money with where the inflation is going....
Wait a few months for the next hike and you might get even better rates (and then again a few months....)

Oh...I do most of my general banking with BOC because mortgage stuck to them and their deposit rates are the usual offerings, like right now 0.55% for 1yr HKD. I do have a mortgage-linked account so my savings deposit rate = mortgage int rate.

    which is now lower than 2% p.a. (~1.9%) =P

I actually just checked the website and it is only 1.2%, but a friend told me yesterday that she gets 2% and asked if we were interested (which I'm not). So it's weird....

Revolut continues to forge ahead and is predicted to be in 100 markets by the end of this year.
Is there any other nearby country you could apply an account for?

for me the Key differentiator is not 'offers' and 'deals' and 'cash backs'. I select the service provider by their level of services. any experience on that part, who is attending customer queries and resolving efficiently?
