HSBC - HK$8K Credit Card Spend Promotion?

Did anybody else do the spending promotion around end of last year - beginning of this year where if you hit over HKD8k in spend they give you additional cashback?

Exceeded the threshold but don’t see the rebate anyway, and there’s no documentation or record anywhere I can think of to get a hold of.

That promotion was for transactions using Google / Apple pay only iirc. It should be under "Mobile Payment Promotion" in your R+ app.

I can’t be sure but I think/thought that was a different offer. The most troubling thing is never knowing if you did or didn’t fulfill the criteria and no documentation after the event to review.

I thought there was possibly also a separate online spend reward but don’t think I received that either. Why I thought so is because it seemed to relate to my giving up purchasing from Apple in-store and going online instead (but it could have just been that rebate above + impatience).
When I looked at the T&C I didn’t see such exclusions (unlike for Mannings etc.)

The R+ app is super flaky, and I couldn’t ever get the registered offers thing to display, although it showed registered on the registration itself. Even now I finally have something showing on “Spend Progress” but it’s not there under Registered Offers…

Thanks for your reply all the same. Still appreciate thoughts from anyone where I might look up old promotions.

    Offer details were

Promotion Period: 1st December to 11 February
Spend Limit: Minimum HK$8000 cumulative (individual Txn of min $500); Max HK$35,000
Cashback Limit: 5% up to $600 (this translates to HK$12,000 of max spend); on accumulated spending of HK$35,000 additional HK$400 + 200 (for designated card)

Given promotion period dates, I suspect this to be reflected next month. I have this in my mind as I have accumulated spend of HK$35K in promotion period.

Thank you so much! This is very helpful indeed. Will check back later if not subsequently reflected then. Cheers!

(Much thanks and appreciation to the moderator too for helping make my enquiry clearer!)

Ya usually their payout if very late.. at least 2-3 months after the close.

There is a new function in HSBC Reward App that started i think something this year, allowing you to keep track of how much you have spent in those promotion category.. I have not fully use it (for a campaign) so won't know the accuracy and effectiveness of it, but hopefully that will solve the Asianxpat issues going ahead. I think for the OP campaign the feature in the app was not yet available (I checked it then)

Do you recollect any specific date or something of credit of RC?

nope. just went into the reward plus after seeing your posting and saw it has a 600 RC incoming in June.
Anyway HSBC just started a new summer spending campaign, same thing... 5% on minimum spending of 10k in July+August, each ticket >500HKD. Capped at total of 600RC so essentially you spend between 10k to 12k. Local merchants only (means i guess, excludes online purchases).
