Heard a couple of mentions of it... Checked my online banking earlier and didn't see anything, but the system is down now.
Yes. I had 27 9 USD charges overnight and couldn't get through to them.
There are loads of similar cases which resulted in their system and the app crashing. Now we are to sit tight and wait. They are aware of the scale of the problem apparently...
Standard Chartered responded at 4pm yesterday through local media saying it saw an increase in suspicious credit cards transactions recently.
In addition to sending alert messages to card holders, the bank "immediately strengthened the relevant monitoring system and measures to protect customers."
"Customers can also block the credit card through SC mobile or online banking if they discover an unauthorized transaction, as well as dispute the transaction within one month and the bank will contact the customer to follow up and investigate," said the spokesman.
