sending money to joint account in HKG - short (and possibly stupid) question

Sorry if this is an utterly stupid question, ...

How do you correctly name the recipient in a joint StanChart account that is registered at StanChart under "Jack & Jill" when you want to send money from HSBC that does not allow to have an "&" in the recipients name?

Do you just state "Jack and Jill" or "Jack Jill" or is this all a non issue as long as the names are spelled correct?

HSBC (my bank) cannot help they just said I have to asked StanChart.

Either .. Jack Lastname or Jill Lastname is fine.

You don't need two names on the TX. For example with checks you can deposit single name checks into Jt accts.

    riversidejr and xnipa like this.

Come to think of it you don't even need names if you are doing an FPS transfer.

I once did a bank transfer from BOC to HSBC with the recipient's name: LXX LXX HXXXX and it was accepted. The seller from Carousell didn't want to disclose her full name.
