    I suspect they will start with somewhat in-between rates, better than normal bank rates and slightly higher than Wise/
    Revoult for brand premium..

    There is absolutely no brand premium outsider the tiny ass mini country Hong Kong. Same as their Payme effort.

    Try explaining it to them, Wouldnt have come up with the idea of PayMe in the first place if they thought so..

    Pre-FPS ... at that time stored value wallets and free micro-transactions were on trend? Venmo launched in 2009, paypal bought them in 2013. Payme was launched 4 years later in 2017.

    FPS launched in 2018...

    IIRC there was some time overlap between PayMe launched and FPS framework already in test between banks and HKMA but i guess PayMe would have been in quite advanced development/testing phase by then..
