    AXA agency

Hi everyone, I recently met with an agent about getting critical illness insurance. I noticed that their card didn't have the @axa.com.hk email address and it was @agency.axa.com.hk

I asked about it and they said they work at an agency called FinStyle, which is contracted by AXA.

Has anyone bought insurance via this agency before and what was the experience like?

My biggest questions are: Are they legit and have you had any issues when making claims?

Given how expensive insurance can be (I'm still looking around), I just want to figure things out. Thank you for your time!

Missed this in the moderation queue.

In general, most insurance companies have agencies or agents that are external entities - rarely ever employees of the insurance company. Our agent is also on the agency email.

The insurance companies generally broker their leads out to their agents.

Obviously agency.axa.com.hk is a sub-domain of Axa, so they are in some sense legit (unless Axa's domain has been hacked, but I guess that would be spotted PDQ).

Just call AXA to verify if they are licensed agent.
