HSBC HK mobile app keeps crashing

In the last few days the HSBC mobile app keeps crashing on startup. No error message, simply dies before showing the welcome screen. I didn't do anything with my phone recently, including installing any new apps. HSBC UK works fine.

Anyone has had similar experience recently?

No, sorry. I guess try installing it and unistalling it. Plus restarting your phone. After those throw away steps don't help, maybe pray?

Not with the HSBC App but I have with another one. It too several uninstalls and reinstalls, turn the phone off and ons and a bottle of pint noir before it eventually started working.

Last resort is to walk into a branch.

No issues with HSBC HK here. Try a different phone and perhaps check your internet connection.

Crash on start may be that the app (or, its device security SDK) thinks your device is rooted..hence won't let it start
Also won't tell you what the issue is though.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Works fine for me. Nothing more frustrating than buggy software, hope you're able to get it sorted.

try to clear it's cache, go the app > usage > either clear data or cache

or it could have something todo before opening the app like installing a conflicting app
    hope you get it working.

for me before it was the online login that was crashing or having errors.
just cleared the Browser then it woked again.
