Remember you'll need some money here at some point to pay your tax bill as well...

    Hi PDLM,

I know that there is a convention between belgium and Hong Kong to prevent double taxes.

Do you have a link or can you explain how I can estimate the taxes?

So far, I expect a monthly salary of 45k HK$ and moving in start of February.

    Alex

pin has given the link for HK taxes. As I recall, Belgium taxes, like most other places, based on place of residence & employment which means that you'll pay tax in Belgium for the period you are resident in Belgium and then stop. In Hong Kong you'll pay for the period after you move here. I don't see much scope for double taxation, although there is a Double Taxation Agreement with Belgium.

That's assuming you're simply talking about tax on salary - it would be a bit more complicated for companies.
