    Competition laws in Hong Kong

    Hey,

I am thinking about running a competition on my website aimed at Hong Kong. The competition will be simply along the lines of pay a small amount to enter (few dollars) and the prize would be a cash amount (upt to 100,000 hk) and runners up prizes.

Are there any specific laws, regulations or anyone i have to inform on doing such a thing?

    Thanks!

That sort of thing will NOT be allowed. HKJC has a monopoly on cash wager betting in a lottery and the mechanism you describe is clearly that. You may call it by a different name but the mechanism betrays the real meaning.

Licensing for lucky draws is not a Home Affairs question...

A&D .. I'm seriously getting tired of your weird responses.

Try TELA and look at their lotteries license.

I am a part of a charitable group that does raise several hundred thousand dollars every years through its lucky draws but the purpose, content and execution is severely controlled by TELA.
