    Promotional gift in HK

Is there any demands for promotional gifts or premium ? I'm from Canada
Starting a new business trading gift & premium, selling point is service, low qty and custom design. Encountering difficulties on locating correct customer, but does not have the budget for exhibition. Any advice on how to start ? want your advice. targeting right item for different filed. ie: flash drive, non-woven bag ... anything else you think of getting but you can't find it as promotional gift ?
    Thanks for helping ~

Are you talking Hong Kong demand or Canada demand?

In HK there is a lot of demand for gifts & premiums but always low quantities unless company buying on behalf of Asian regional or worldwide.

No premiums hard to purchase in market due to proximity to China, a lot of companies will go direct to factories, others will use specialists in HK with close links to China / Asian factories.

So with this being a well established business in HK you have to think what you can bring to the table. It wont be uniqueness. It wont be cost. It won't be service or low quantities. What will it be?

We buy them now and then, there seems to be plenty of suppliers out there already who offer low price, low quantity and good service. Not sure what you could offer that would be different. Tough market to enter I would have thought unless you have good contacts with your suppliers and customers. Still good luck.

Thank you for getting back ... I'm selling it in HK.
Trying sell back to Canada, but most of them are getting it from ASI in US.
I will develop some custom design USB drives and other items ... For now, my price seems to be competitive ... just wanna to know what's the market getting or wanna to get so we can be sole supplier on some items ...

totally agree that HK is too close to China , so they rather deal direct with factory ~

Cute stuff. Not entirely original, but there is enough originality to pique interest.

Why bother selling them to Hong Kong (a relatively small market)?
Clearly you have some design talent. Make up your prototypes along with your competitive pricing and start pitching them worldwide at upcoming Hong Kong shows...You will be a small fish in a big pond, it will be competitive but just 1 or 2 decent sized customers will make it worth while.
