basic financial software

Anybody knows of a simple financial software I can use to keep track of basic household expediture? The one on sale (like Microsoft Money, Quicken) have too many functions for my liking and are far too "comprehensive". Plus I would not be able to use HK$ as currency basis.

Actually I just want to categorise some expediture, get a monthly overview and be able to check how everything is developing over time. I know I could be creative and use Excel, but I thought there must be something on the market. Maybe a tool somewhere to download?
