Taxation - freelance for UK company

I've done a search but not found any conclusive answers. My wife has moved with me to Hong Kong and is on a dependents visa. Her company in the UK was keen to keep her, but doesn't have a HK subsidiary and has now created a consultancy contract for her. She will register as a company here in HK, but will she be liable to pay taxes on this income since it all comes from overseas? Thanks!

Look up the IRD website. They have clear guidance notes about doing doing work for overseas companies.

The rule of thumb is where the work is done and not who is is done for.

In addition to this, safer to have a sole prop type business and a separate bank account to avoid any sudden count closures.

Will post the links when I get access to a desktop

Thanks for that, a colleague mentioned it being untaxed- I knew it was too good to be true! What do you mean with count closures?
