I meant virtually ... there is always a chance an angry customer or salesman would knock on your door expecting to have a meeting with you.
Best to use an address for work which does not reveal where you live.
But then thats me ...

Ah OK - yes, I can see that. I am in the fortunate position of being able to pick and choose who I do work for, so I've never really thought of that.
Unless you own your own home, you may also have to consider the terms of your rental agreement. Quite often the contract states that the premises be used for residency only.
You might consider whether it is worth while trying to get the terms of the lease changed. If the landlord refuses, then you are still left with the PO box or mail forwarding options.
Of course if you are running a business solely on your computer then your landlord might never find out... unless you choose to prominently display your Business Registration Certificate as required by the IRD (but that would make you quite unique amongst Hong Kong businesses).
There are many tenancy agreements that preclude home offices in HK. As others note the issue for a work investment visa as it is one of their cornerstones is suitable business premises. There was an expat who lives in a country house here with one entire floor devoted to their business and that was apparently approved by HK Immigration as they could show this was dedicated space and could have a work space for your local hires to work as that too is one of the cornerstones to get a visa.
I am sure there are other exceptions but they do accept virtual offices as of course you book the place for meetings.
We have a confidential back office in Kwun Tong where the staff work and where we have no signage due to the nature of our work and we have a place in the Nexxus Building where my business partner often works from - Executive Centre. I mostly work from home when not out but I do find it hard to separate work and home time. My wife is mostly in Canada so living alone makes it easier.
