Question about double stamp duty and special stamp duty

I am a foreigner, no HKPR, and I own a property in my name.

My wife is a HK citizen, and has no property in her name.

Can we buy a second property, in the name of my wife, and pay neither the double stamp duty and the buyer stamp duty?

Also, does anybody have any additional information about the 'stress test'? What is the maximum household income we can borrow?

The stress test is your monthly mortgage total repayments as a percent of your income at the current interest rate and at I rise in rates of say 2%. Total repayment per month under both scenario should not exceed 40to 50percent .last week I was told 50percent for high income profession :

Thanks. I am slooooowly starting to look. I think the prices will drop by 20% or so, so I take my time.

So my wife doesn't need to pay these "duties", right?
