    HK Property Developers Thread

They often give us an early warning of where property prices are headed. And in the current high-tax "regime", they are an easier an more liquid way to take a view on property prices - often while earning a decent dividend.

It seems that HK12 have approved the issue of a Bonus Share on a 1/10 Basis:

Seems to be flavour of the month. HK:0006 recently authorised 20% new shares, with the obvious effect on the price

They just "created" new shares and sold them to someone else? Is that legal? It would appear to dilute existing shareholder capital.

It is if the majority of existing shareholders vote for it at a general meeting.

Yes that makes more sense. I assume though that the majority of existing shareholders is a more closely held group of people than the general public?
