    Getting into HongKong's stock market

Im a newbie to this (University student) and currently I have been reading books about investment and planning to start investing as soon as I feel ready. I just wanted to get the basic gist of starting investment in hongkong. Do I open a bank account for stock trading? Do I open an online account and trade online? Brokers? Etc..

    Thank you.

Open a regular banking account, then from there your bank will most likely have a share trading account which can usually be opened with just a couple of clicks (assuming you're not a US Citizen)

I trade online, opened up an account with BOC and trade via there iPhone app.

I use AA stocks to check share price.

BOC charge $140 a trade for admin fees which is reasonable.

$140 seems a bit on the expensive side if you are a regular trader.

I just input orders into my Interactive brokers platform for 1000 CLP and 4000 HKChina Gas, around US$10,000 a clip and both trades showed $60 in commissions.
