Don't get too excited, my friend. North American markets were down today Wed. Some major stocks that were just slowly drifting downwards during the day had a sharp fall in the last half hour or less. Citi ended up almost 14% down, BofA -11.3%, JPM -7%, Wells -8.9%. Dow, S&P and Nasdaq more than 5% down each. Canadian fall more moderate. Will be interesting to see how Asia goes today, I mean Thursday.

Daily feverish action in the last 4-5 min of trading on the price front (shoot up or plunge down) has become characteristic of markets our side the last couple of weeks. Very strange.

Yup, predict a bad day today... That's too bad, I needed just a little boost more to sell yesterday and it might be a great day to buy again today but I'm going to wait and see how low we go today.

if u have checked the intraday movements of the asian markets in the past few days, selling always comes in at the last 2 hours of session.

in Singapore heavy weighted index stocks were held to keep index level high where other favourites were being let go..

i think redemption are still going ahead and wldn't be buying for bounce yet. likely afternoons wld be worst than morning...

Tokyo is mutated because of the ban on short selling. those will fizzle out and i am net short nikkei as well.

That's not "mutated" that's back to its original purpose as a means of investing rather than its more recent use (as with all other stock markets) as a glorified casino.

Probably to do with the testing of an atomic bomb. Expect Tokyo to do battle with Godzilla, Mothra and Ghidorah some time soon.

Since I wasn't supporting anybody in particular, I can't say I felt much yesterday..

As for the market it is a quite some time already that I am out (luckily).

As for prevision I always leave that to the experts, not my role ;-)

Well, I'm an armchair expert . but what I do have is a lot of conversations from people involved in the online industry and ecommerce sales / ad $ is down seriously (20% - 50% in high ticket items), which means, retail sentiment is low -- indicating that Q4 numbers will be pretty bad too.
