    Thanks for the advice. Im still in Australia too. I still have good assets in Australia that I will keep ..just to spread the risk. Yes they ask a lot of questions and very time consuming.

    I've noticed that financial services in the HKSAR is very strict compared to the UK, and usually overly bureaucratic. Although perhaps when that comes to credit / lending / loans, that is no bad thing (the UK could probably do with tightening up a bit more).

    Am I right in thinking there is some issue with insuring properties over 25 years old (i.e. it becomes harder)?
