3 shares to buy through monthly saving plan!

Can people recommend three shares to buy through a monthly saving plan? I am looking for potential for growth, and a reasonably high dividend. Of course 2800 will come up, but I think there are some laggards in this tracker fund, so I am also looking for other shares.

3 instead of 10-20 because I might sell them gradually, and if I buy 20 I don't have enough shares to sell them as a lot (and sell them as smaller quantities than one lot means I can sell them for less. I checked these things already).

    Thank you.

A monthly plan should be a long plan. No point in accumulating to sell quickly.

Run it for 12-24 months to get a reasonably dollar cost average collection of lots?

1, 2800, 5, HKT, ICBC are on my list to rotate through.

I personally buy only 3 ETFs (VG S&P 500, VG FTSE ASIAXJ, VG FTSE DEV EUR) following a simple principle:
    1) Diversify
    2) Cheap
    3) Easy

I'm sure it's not a great strategy, but I'm really not an expert!

Thanks for sharing Vix. Where are these ETFs listed? I'm guessing the UK? If so which broker are you using to buy them?

They are all HK listed Vanguard ETFs.
