How best to keep title deed at home?

    Some banks may not lend money or some lawyers may not handle the transaction process if the original deed is lost.

    My friend got the Title papers from the Law Office. Before she went there she was advised to bring along a trolley. Indeed, all the legal paperwork tallied up to 7kg that she needed to tote home. And the flat she bought had no prior owners. She is the first 'owner' of a tiny flat in a big tower built by Li Ka Shing's company.
    I suggested to her that lawyers need work too so somehow they have manipulated the Title system to enhance their take. Of course, maybe it's all due to the Brits who once governed HK.
    Those 7kg of documents fill a big beer box and space is at a premium in her flat. I told her to discard 14 pairs of shoes and keep the docs.
