    It doesn't help that as a whole there are so many IPOs in China. It has basically been flooding the market with equities that have been outstripping demand. So although the total capitalisation of the market has grown, individual stock valuations don't change much. That's one reason the indices aren't keeping up with China's economic growth.

    these days, many of the countries, investing is more about knowing the politics more than the economics..
    toll roads, i would think just like the telco companies.. you don't know when the country will throw in a law and expect you to overnight drop your fees by 20/30/40%.. look at the country getting involved in chinese telco companies in their cross state charges..

    similarly in many other countries these are happening.
    legal rights are seldom observed when you have these socialistic inclinations... hidden behind rules like environmental (which sometimes are, honestly, fair!) and anti-monopoly.

    Was looking at the weightings of the stocks last night. Seems to be a little bit more than that.

    Tencent : 8.9% on 2800 and 3.83% on HSCEI
    Ping An: 4.2% on 2800 and 10.x% on HSCEI
    ICBC: 5% on 2800 and 9% on HSCEI
