Merging MPF accounts - which provider to choose?

Because of different jobs, I never merged my MPF accounts and now I'm looking to consolidate them for easier handling... admittedly I've been pretty passive on managing them so I'm not sure which company is the most decent to work with. I currently have accounts with HSBC, Manulife and Principle - does anyone have any advice or feedback on this?

Depends on what you want your funds invested in - the provider with the lowest fees for that portfolio of funds?

General rule of thumb - go with the one that has the lowest fees.

This assumes that your current employer will allow you to pay into whichever MPF Account you would choose.

That said, when I went through the exercise, I consolidated three providers into one and chose HSBC even though they were not the lowest cost one - HSBC is my primary bank in Hong Kong and I had no other relationships with the other two providers so was able to get rid of two financial relationships completely.

That's what I was thinking - when I asked one of the providers said they roll the fees into the price. So I'm hoping the other two isn't as crappy even though their service has been.

It is criminal that over 65% of funds had FER higher than 1.26% in 2018. There were even some fund that had fees above 2.5%!!!!
