    international transfer of stocks

I want to move some of my assets from a bank in EU to a brokerage in US.

So there is a form that I have to fill in and then US side will contact the bank and
get the stocks transferred. Is there any third party trying to take a cut, just like
when I wire money, or what else do I need to consider ?

    Thanks

Usually the inbound bank will accept assets for free. The outbound bank will have a charge per Ticker or per lot.

Names on the accounts will need to be an exact match.

Make sure both of the banks are in sync with the a count codes etc. We have had some transfers rejected because of some mismatch or one side not being informed they had to accept a transfer.

if you are transferring to a brokerage that sees 'asset' as a key KPI of their company, then you can also try to ask the receiving bank to cover any cost of transfer... that is what is being done when you are transferring from one private bank to another, the receiving one which 'gains the asset' will usually be asked to pay the full transfer cost and most instances they do.
