How to buy house in UK while living in HK

My son is a UK citizen studying in UK. I want to buy a property in UK and let my son to live. However, I and my husband doesn't want to live in UK at the moment. My husband is a UK citizen. I am not UK citizen. Is there any possibility to buy property over there with mortgage. Will UK banks lend money by showing our income here in HK?

Any sort of advice will be highly appreciated.

It's perfectly possible. HSBC HK will offer Sterling mortgages on British property. Also just Google expat UK mortgages and you'll find several brokers.

We did so years ago - a company called Japan Services in Ealing found a property in London on our behalf, arranged the mortgage, furnished and let it out for us. 20 years later they still act as our agents - I can recommend them.

Follow the tests on the UK HMRC website, no need to spend money on a lawyer.
