Some of my thoughts:
He mentions everyone (even academics saying they found the best strategy) has an agenda, so that includes him.
He stays vague to try to stay safe with the final stock market pick question. Of course companies that can do well because of the pandemic that no one else is talking about are undervalued.
He mentions his Uber and Boeing picks, and takes some credit for being smart while also saying it's almost impossible to separate luck from skill. He still semi-modestly toots his own horn.
He sort of believes in value investing, but the intangibles from many tech companies won't show up if they are supposedly under valued.
In summary, no one can predict the future, a few will get lucky, and good luck trying to find an edge that no one else has when trying to beat the market.
Well, he is considered one of, if not the top value guys around. He sort of believes in value investing, but the intangibles from many tech companies won't show up if they are supposedly under valued.
Tech /§Growth investing is not about valuations IMHO.
Am a big fan of Damodaran in terms of picking up a lot of information and financial education. But I rarely indulge in individual stocks anymore.. Down to 4.
