Want to invest in stocks, where should I start from?

Planning to invest in stocks, currently doing some research. Where should I start with trading account, charges etc. Any tips welcomed!

How much do you plan to invest and what are your objectives? Are you planning to make a lump sum investment or contribute regularly?

And a few other important questions:

In which market do you want to invest? (e.g. which stock exchange) this will determine your options of accounts and charges.
Country of residency (I assume HK)
Country of Citizenship (can have a big impact if your country has global tax etc...)
Country of Tax residency
Looking at individual stocks/Funds/ETF's?

Starting point should be indeed doing research (as you are doing now) account/charges etc... comes only later once you know what you want.

One of my coworkers was telling me she bought a lot of China Evergrande stocks about half a year ago... Based on someone's internet recommendation.

Currently in Hong Kong.
I am planning in coins and shares as well.

I plan around 200k HKD.
There is no global taxation so I can actually take benefit of it.

But which market? If HK or US I would just stick with one of the banks in HK, other markets then it depends...
Coins I can't help you with but there are other threads on this forum talking about the different crypto platforms.
