    Probably aggressive marketing and poor delivery at times. In general they seem ok - Large in the US. HK is probably too small a market for them (given the demo they target) ..

    try to avoid higher fees which eat into your gains. index funds /etfs are popular for a reason. this isn't to say that an investment advisor is never useful - they can be, but there's a lot of sad stories out there. buyer beware.

    IB does have now what they call recurring investments. Not all ETF's are eligible as the stock has to be eligible for fraction trading. I checked a few and noticed that for example IWDA is on the list while SWRD and EIMI for example not.
    Anyway if you would like to invest in IWDA (or other stocks that IB allows you to trade in fractions) then it is a great option as you can setup an automatic trade (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly etc...) and forget about it. When you want to change the amount you like to trade or the day, you can just edit the trade setup.
    Update on this. I just randomly checked if SWRD and EIMI would now be available for automatically recurrent investing and to my surprise it is. No more remembering, checking and manually trading.
