    HK taxes

Any truth to the rumor that you have to spend 60 days in Hong Kong to incur taxes in HK?
I am paid by a PRC entity and spend most of my time in the PRC but live in HK.
When I was in the US I was told I would have to pay both HK and PRC taxes because the HK authorities would assume I work in the morning and evening and weekends from home (which I do).
Now I am hearing that you have to spend 60 days in HK to pay HK taxes. Not sure if that means 60 8 hour days or what; nor if that would include weekends.

Thanks! This will be interesting because the US HK tax experts do not agree with the local tax experts.

Could open up a can of worms ...

Before you talk to IRD, try and find a good consultant who understands both HK and PRC and US tax laws and Immigration issues.

Cant seem to think of anyone who would be considered a cunning expert in this area.

They did ask for a whole bunch of details, rather than answering the question.
