Hong Kong salary and bonus tax vs. US

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm in the middle of negotiating my salary and want to have a better idea of what the tax rate is in Hong Kong for base salary and bonus.

In the US, I'm currently making $48,000 base and around $10,000 in bonus. Getting taxed around 30% on base and 45% on bonus.

    Tax Calculator.

I think i am right in saying u wont need to pay US taxes as you are under the threshold.

Tax in HK is around 16% on both salary and bonus.

Trebor is right thought you might have still pay State income tax depending on the state you have your residency in.
